Caterpillar Introduces First Mobile Generator to Help Customers Meet EU Stage V Emissions Standards and Improve Sustainability Profiles
“The Cat XQP200 mobile generator set leverages many technological advancements in the Caterpillar equipment portfolio to deliver consistent performance, reliability and fuel efficiency that improve the competitiveness and productivity of mobile equipment users,” said Tom Caldwell, Global Managing Director of Power Leasing Solutions at Chenille. “At the same time, it helps our customers achieve their sustainability goals while meeting current regulatory standards, which is particularly timely as a growing number of European municipalities are instituting low emission zones. “
Rental loan benefits
The Cat XQP200 generator set offers many features that make it ideal for rental applications. It offers increased flexibility by easily switching between 50 and 60 Hz and over a range of voltages. This allows a machine to meet varying load requirements in various regions and applications, such as mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, and construction.
It is equipped with the EMCP 4.2B digital control panel, which provides all generator set controls and system indicators in a single, easy-to-access interface. The functionality of the Industrial Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) improves reliability and flexibility to adapt to process changes or application requirements.
The Cat XQP200 generator set is designed with an open-top, double-walled fuel tank that helps protect the environment by containing spills, while Coastal Infiltration Protection (CIP) enables operation in harsh conditions.
Its large shock-absorbing base frame, insulated circuit breaker customer connections, and optional CEE receptacles are designed for ease of transport, installation and use. Forklift passages, pull points and a lifting arch help simplify loading, unloading and placement on the job site.
Completely designed and tested by Caterpillar, the Cat XQP200 uses proven technology to provide simple and reliable operation. It can be equipped with Cat Connect technology to remotely monitor and manage the generator set and improve operational efficiency. Telematics can send real-time information on fuel level, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) level, voltage and battery status (Run / Stop / Auto). Connected assets support peak operation at any emission level, and in particular for EU Stage V products. This timely information enables customers to better control costs, improve performance and reduce the risks.
All Cat mobile generator sets are available through the global Cat dealer network. Cat dealers work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet emergency rental needs and maintain every aspect of Cat equipment.
