Doctor Who Season 13 gets Halloween release date

Doctor Who Season 13 will be here before you know it. During its NYCC 2021 panel, we learned that it was going to be featured in time for Halloween.

There is a date to note in your calendar. It’s about Sunday October 31. The Doctor Who The Season 13 premiere will air that day, with new weekly episodes following.

The first is on BBC One, BBC America and BBC iPlayer. No matter where you are in North America or the UK, you will be able to access the episodes and you will want to check them out.

Along with the premiere date, we got a teaser of what to expect. He certainly has a ‘don’t blink’ feeling.

Doctor Who Season 13 brings us The Flux

The title for Doctor Who Season 13 is Doctor Who: Flux. We get a one-season script for Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, facing some of the biggest threats the Doctor has ever faced. This is only the second time in the history of the series that we have had a long arc throughout the season. Yes, there have been times when a particular piece of the story has returned, but this season will be more like a six-episode long movie.

The Flux will bring in the Weeping Angels, the Sontarans, and something known as the Ravagers. The Doctor tells us this through a recorded message, and there is certainly a lot of fear in his voice. It’s not often that the Doctor panics, so we know it’s something major.

Her companions Yas and debutant Dan Lewis, played by John Bishop, are behind her. They’re doing something on the TARDIS control panel, but we can’t see what it is. Either way, they are also panicked.

The downside is that there will only be six episodes in Doctor Who Season 13. The season finale will air on Sunday December 5th. Whittaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall are stepping down, but first there will be three specials throughout 2022, and then we’ll see a new actor take on the lead.

There were going to be eight episodes in the season. Things have changed due to the pandemic, and there are now six episodes with two specials already filmed. There will be another special added before we see Whittaker’s Doctor regenerate.

Doctor Who Season 13 will air Sunday, October 31 at 8 a.m. / 7 a.m. on BBC America.
