You can see exactly what the exterior and dashboard will look like on each variant of the XUV700 before deciding which one is right for you.

The Mahindra XUV700 has been released and its introductory variant-based price has been revealed. It is available in four versions – MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7, with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. Each engine has the option of a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, depending on the variant. Reservations will open on October 7 and Mahindra has made available a 360-degree viewer for its new SUV. We can now see what the exterior and dashboard of each variant of the XUV700 looks like:

Powertrain options: Gasoline-MT, Diesel-MT

Price: Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 12.49 lakh

This is the base variant of the XUV700 and yet it has the same overall design as the higher variants. It can be identified as an inferior variant by its halogen headlights, the lack of daytime running lights and fog lights, the steel wheels and the lack of chrome. LED taillights are standard.

It has the same dashboard layout as the premium XUV700, but it has less to offer. The MX trim is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch multi-information color display in the instrument cluster between the two analog dials. You also get Android Auto connectivity and adjustable power ORVMs with turn signals.

XUV700 AX3

Powertrain options: Petrol-MT, Petrol-AT, Diesel-MT, Diesel-AT

Price: Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.19 lakh

Switching to the AX3 variant, the XUV700 still gets steel wheels with stylized covers. It also gets daytime running lights and front fog lights which immediately improve the exterior aesthetics of the SUV.

From this variant, the XUV700 is equipped with two 10.25-inch screens: one for the touchscreen infotainment system and one for the driver’s screen. The AX3 also offers connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity and Amazon Alexa. You can also opt for a seven-seater configuration in this variant with the diesel engine.

There are additional controls on the steering wheel for additional functionality of the AX7. It also gets a slightly different AC control panel as it now has dual zone climate controls. The interior also has a leatherette upholstery, a 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat with memory function and an integrated air purifier. It also has front side airbags for added occupant protection. The XUV700 AX7 is only offered in a seven-seater configuration.

ADAS features on offer include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness detection and lane keeping assist.

For an additional Rs 1.8 lakh, Mahindra offers the luxury package with the automatic variants of the AX7. It adds a driver-side knee airbag, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, Sony 3D audio system, wireless charging and an electronic parking brake to the feature set.
