Foldable phone segment:

The momentum of the foldable phone market is gaining momentum and Huawei has launched two categorical phones in this segment, including:

  1. Horizontal foldable phones
  2. Vertical foldable phones

Huawei Mate X series:

The Huawei Mate X series has a horizontal folding design and the company first introduced Mate X (first generation) at MWC 2019.

The following year, Huawei released a better version of Mate X under the name “Mate Xs”, this phone has a 5G chip built into the processor.

Last year, Huawei introduced the Mate X2, which has a new design and features two display systems. The main screen sits inside the foldable design and the other stays active while the device is folded.

Huawei Mate X2 Specifications:

Huawei Mate X2 is all about its screens. Let’s talk about the main display first, it’s an 8-inch foldable panel that could output 16.7 million colors. It supports 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate with 2480 x 2200 pixel resolution.

On the other hand, the external panel expands to 6.45 inches and supports a touch sampling rate of 240Hz with a refresh rate of 90Hz along with a resolution of 2700 x 1160 pixels.

The phone is powered by Kirin 9000 5nm processor (Octa-core, 1 x Cortex-A77 3.13GHz + 3 x Cortex-A77 2.54GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 2.05GHz). Although the phone has not reached the global market, we hope that the Mate X3 can appear overseas.
