Janeen DiGuiseppi appointed Special Agent in charge of Albany Field Office – FBI


Director Christopher Wray has appointed Janeen DiGuiseppi as special agent in charge of Albany’s field office in New York. Most recently, Ms. DiGuiseppi was the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Training Division.

Ms. DiGuiseppi joined the FBI as a Special Agent in 1999 and was first assigned to the Salt Lake City Field Office, where she worked on violent crime, drug offenses and public corruption.

In 2008, Ms. DiGuiseppi was promoted to Deputy Legal Attaché in Baghdad and oversaw the FBI Major Crimes Task Force. She returned to Salt Lake City in 2009 and was assigned to the DEA Drug Diversion Task Force until she was promoted to Special Supervisory Agent in 2010 as the FBI Biometric Officer in Kabul, in Afghanistan.

Ms. DiGuiseppi was assigned to the Memphis, Tennessee field office in 2012, where she oversaw civil rights and public corruption programs and the violent crimes against children / child exploitation task force.

In 2014, she was promoted to Deputy Section Chief of the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section of the Criminal Investigations Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. She was then chief of staff to the deputy director of the division. In 2016, she was appointed Deputy Section Chief of the Transnational Organized Crime Section – Eastern Hemisphere, where she managed national and international programs focused on organized crime and major theft.

Ms. DiGuiseppi was appointed Deputy Special Agent in charge of the Denver field office in 2017, overseeing intelligence and surveillance programs, the Rocky Mountain Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory, and Wyoming resident agencies.

In 2019, Ms. DiGuiseppi was selected as the Section Chief of the FBI Training Division’s Program Management Section, and promoted to Deputy Deputy Director in 2020.

Ms. DiGuiseppi received a BA from the University of Central Florida, an MA from Western New England College and an MA from Florida International University. Prior to joining the Bureau, Ms. DiGuiseppi was an officer in the US Air Force.
